Does Pacific House Hostel have air conditioning?

Air conditioning is available in all private rooms and most female-only dorm rooms. In addition, the dining room and TV room are fully air-conditioned, providing comfortable shared spaces for guests to relax throughout the year.

Is there a guest kitchen?

Yes. Guests have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen 24 hours a day.

Yes. Self-service laundry facilities are available for guests.

Is linen included?

Yes. Bed linen is provided for all guests.

Are towels provided?

All private rooms include towels. Towels are also available for purchase from reception.

Is Pacific House Hostel clean?

Can I have a fridge bag?

Yes! We have free fridge bags available at reception - just ask any of our team. You’ll need to fill out a tag with your name, room number, and check-out date. If you extend your stay, don’t forget to update your check-out date!

We clean out all fridges and dry food lockers every Tuesday and remove any expired bags.

Bonus: You can keep your bag when you leave – a handy souvenir or perfect for the beach!

Can I get a towel or a padlock?

Of course you can!

  • Towels: $8 each, available at reception. You can keep it when you leave. (Private rooms already include towels.) We don’t rent towels.
  • Padlocks: $7 each, available at reception. Use them for your two lockers per person in your room, or for the dry food lockers near the kitchen.
Is tap water drinkable?

Yes. Sydney’s tap water is safe to drink and meets Australia’s strict drinking water quality standards. Guests can refill their water bottles directly from the tap throughout their stay

Do you sell merch?

Yes! We have T-shirts, water bottles, tote bags, and caps available for purchase. Come see us at reception!

When is the free breakfast?

Enjoy free breakfast every day in our dining room from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Gluten-free options are available – just ask the staff on duty.

Note: During the busy summer season, it’s best to arrive early to get your pick of the breakfast spread.

Are you open 24 Hours?

Yes! Reception is open 24 hours, and you also have access to the TV room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, and study room at any time.

When do you clean the Hostel?

We start cleaning the communal spaces at 6:00 AM and continue throughout the day.

All bathrooms and toilets are cleaned at least three times daily.

Our kitchen is staffed from 6:30 AM to midnight, and after that our night team takes over, cleaning the kitchen and dining room.

Housekeeping runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and our team is always ready to jump in wherever needed – 24 hours a day!

Where do I charge my phone?

Every bed has a USB charger, and each room has around 12 power points, some tucked behind beds. You can also charge your phone or laptop in the study room on the 2nd floor, the TV room on the ground floor, or the dining room.
