Pacific House Hostel is one of Sydney’s most social hostels, with two free events every day designed to help travellers meet people and make friends. Popular activities include pizza nights, family dinners, wine and cheese evenings, yoga sessions, and the Coogee to Bondi coastal walk.
Yes. Guest safety is a priority at Pacific House Hostel. The hostel features secure room access using the Goki digital key system, personal lockers, privacy curtains on every bed, and CCTV-monitored luggage storage.
Pacific House Hostel is located in Woolloomooloo, one of Sydney’s most historic harbourside neighbourhoods. Its central location provides easy access to the city centre, the Royal Botanic Garden, the Sydney Opera House, and Sydney Harbour, while offering a relaxed local atmosphere away from the busiest tourist areas.
Limited street parking is available nearby. Wilson Parking is located across the road from the hostel and is the most convenient option for guests travelling by car.
There’s a Woolworths Metro just a 4-minute walk from the hostel, where you can grab food, phone chargers, umbrellas, and more.
If you walk up to Oxford Street (about 15 minutes), you’ll find an Aldi.
For a bigger supermarket, Woolworths at Town Hall has everything you might need.

Check-out: 10:00 AM Please make sure to leave your room by 10:00 AM. You’re welcome to store your luggage on our racks near reception (CCTV monitored) and continue to use all of our facilities until you depart.
You don't need to bring down any linen.
Note: luggage storage is for the day only.
Check-in: After 2:00 PM Rooms are ready from 2:00 PM, as we need time to clean and make the beds for you. If you arrive earlier, you’re welcome to store your luggage and use all the facilities. You don’t need to be here exactly at 2:00 PM – we can check you in anytime up until midnight.
Yes! We have free fridge bags available at reception - just ask any of our team. You’ll need to fill out a tag with your name, room number, and check-out date. If you extend your stay, don’t forget to update your check-out date!
We clean out all fridges and dry food lockers every Tuesday and remove any expired bags.
Bonus: You can keep your bag when you leave – a handy souvenir or perfect for the beach!

- Towels: $8 each, available at reception. You can keep it when you leave. (Private rooms already include towels.) We don’t rent towels.
- Padlocks: $7 each, available at reception. Use them for your two lockers per person in your room, or for the dry food lockers near the kitchen.
Yes. Sydney’s tap water is safe to drink and meets Australia’s strict drinking water quality standards. Guests can refill their water bottles directly from the tap throughout their stay
Yes! We have T-shirts, water bottles, tote bags, and caps available for purchase. Come see us at reception!

Yes! Reception is open 24 hours, and you also have access to the TV room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, and study room at any time.
We start cleaning the communal spaces at 6:00 AM and continue throughout the day.
All bathrooms and toilets are cleaned at least three times daily.
Our kitchen is staffed from 6:30 AM to midnight, and after that our night team takes over, cleaning the kitchen and dining room.
Housekeeping runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 AM, and our team is always ready to jump in wherever needed – 24 hours a day!
Every bed has a USB charger, and each room has around 12 power points, some tucked behind beds. You can also charge your phone or laptop in the study room on the 2nd floor, the TV room on the ground floor, or the dining room.
The hostel attracts solo travellers, backpackers, Working Holiday Visa holders, students, and international visitors from countries including France, Germany, England, Italy, and Argentina.
